Just another "dummy" number from Gross Williams and Associates. Any legitimate company will not use these types of numbers.
The tactics these people use are exactly the ones the FBI website says to watch out for.
I was told I had "legal action" against me and had to call another number which was a cell phone number in Lynchburg, VA--probably a jail cell to get further information on the legal action which this person could not give me any information on. Watch out!
Recieved a call from them at 7:45 AM CDT. Did not leave any message. I have contacted these people about their prior violations and the calls slowed abit, this is just another FDCPA violation due to the time at which they called.
Also, any legitimate business is going to have a number you can call back on and will leave a message.
They seem to enjoy running up the tab, soon I will have 11 seperate FDCPA violations valued @ $1000.00 ea. I have a local attorney that will take the case for 50% of the amount recovered. I would check in your area and see if there are any attorneys that will do similiar. No since in tolerating them for nothing.
I got a call from this number this morning. The lady, Rebecca I think said that I had 48 hours to work out a debt with someone else,whom I should call. She then proceeded to tell me that I have been served,and would get the paper work within 48 hours. WTH? Said she was an independent something? and would serve me herself!
