The beauty of the new HP Envy 7640 Print, Fax, Scan, Copy is that, if you receive these types of call, constantly, you can, now set the fax function up to auto answer a couple of rings later than your answering machine and, if you're sitting at your computer when these calls come in, you simply hit "accept" on the printer screen and the Fax function answers the call.
These idiots think they've reached a fax line and more than likely drop you from the list.
If a regular call comes in you either answer it or it goes to the answering machine before the fax reaches the required number of rings...
This is a common telemarketing ploy. They call you and hang up. Many call them back, which is exactly what they want you to do. Once they get you on the line, they try to sell you some type of product or engage you to enter in to a credit application. If you have an iPhone, simply hit the information button next to the missed call, scroll down to where it says block this caller and click on that.
