this number calls all the time I finally answered and said take me off your calling list the voice on the other end was a oriental accent they said ok I hung up but I have blocked them before hope they stop calling now
Call from "RENEWAL DEPT", no message left. I am a former subscriber to the Belleville (Illinois) News-Democrat newspaper, which is owned by McClatchey, and since I took a (failed) trial subscription, I've had a major outbreak of robocalls from all over the map. Is anyone else here a subscriber/former subscriber to the Belleville N-D, or any other McClatchey newspaper, who is now plagued with robocalls? (Of course, I'm blocking all robocalls ; - )
I'm a new, former subscriber of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, a McClatchey newspaper. I received a call from this number. No message. Caller ID said Renewal Dept.
I just looked up the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and on their website, it says they are owned by McClatchy Newspapers, which is the same owner of the Belleville News-Democrat, so the plot has just gotten much thicker. Once McClatchy has your home phone number, regardless of which of their newspapers you've subscribed to, you will now get nuisance robocalls, and in this case, from the very same phone number. Thanks for posting! ; - )
