Received a call this AM 4/16/15 at 11:05. Caller claimed to be from AT&T and was calling all their customer that Corpus Christi local LD was no longer dialed with a "1" - that "Pioneer" their local LD handler was now gone and customers would save $12.xx per line because of it. I asked why she just didn't DO it instead of calling - no one complains of a cheaper bill.....only a more expensive bill. I asked her point blank - and you are AT&T and she said yes. I didn't believe her - my account rep would have called me with this information, if it were true. Guess time will tell. I'm NOT holding my breath!! People (3rd party vendors) call and make this claim all the time. I'd call that blatant impersonation and probably illegal at some tier of the game!!
Your post here won't do anything to stop whoever is calling you. No one here is doing that. The purpose of this site is to alert others to unwanted calls received by the person posting. As such, your post isn't helpful: it doesn't describe your experience with the person (whoever it is) who called you.
