Got a text from this number. Said their name is roland. They wanted to know if i'm a hairdresser. Which I am. And wanted me to do 8 hairstyles on their employees! They set up an appointment and then wanted to know how they can pay me in advance? I said I have no way of doing that. And I never heard from them again. Its a setup....its a scam
I just received the exact same thing, although this time he went through Style seat which is a booking system, and wrote me an email. He said his name was Roland, he has a cleaning company and wants 8of his employees to get their hair styled. I have been involved with many scams since my salon opened, so I called the number he listed, it went to this google voice thing. He then tried to call me back and it gave me a recording instructing me to press one... I hung up and he texted me to ask if I could call him again so that we could discuss details.
Just some advice from a new business owner, anytime it sounds too good to be true, it usually is a scam. And if they leave a number, always call it, it will give away the scammer immediately. Usually they go through a text only number or something like this google voice.
