This caller called me and tried to verify someone's information and when they did they provided the person's date of birth, address and the woman's social security number. Whoever has hired this company is just as unethical as the company that may be behind this. Possibly a scam to steal identities - not sure.
This is collection agency trying to collect on a medical bill that is being paid every month to the medical center. They tell you that you must give them a checking account number so that they can take the payment out of your checking account every month. I told them I was not paying them that I will continue to pay the medical center and they went so far as to tell me I shouldn't have had the surgery done if I couldn't pay for it up front. Then wanted to know what kind of car I drove. Very rude man. So I called the surgery center and they told me it was a new company they just started working with. Any other medical office as long as you are paying them something every month don't turn you over to collections so I will not be using this surgery center again. On top of that they sent one of my friends home after her surgery and she was still sick throwing up. Then he tried to tell me I had to pay the account in full they day he called me and tried telling me I owed the full balance from the day after surgery and I have been paying every month.
I received a call from this company because I owed money to a sleep disorder center. The man was a complete jerk, telling me that I should stop feeding my kids to get the debt taken care of, that it was unacceptable that I have not paid He asked for my husband's financial information to make payment arrangements. I called the company that I owed the debt and she gave me a different number for a collections company.
Received a call from this number, on my private, unlisted telephone number asking for a Gerald Barthel, whom I do not know. Didn't give out any information, and hung up on them.
