Until now, I thought the 555 exchange was used solely for TV shows and movies. A man with an accent from 864-555-0107 wanted to send a manager information via email, which I said wasn't permitted and tranferred him to Purchasing. However, about two weeks ago, I received a legitimate call from prefix 555. While reporting the above number on that page, a call arrived for a parts manager from 701-555-6667. She denied introducing her company, which doesn't mean anything, so she went to voicemail. Another man with accent phoned 15 minutes later, claiming to be from Enterprise Tech (a real firm) and working on a project with a tax manager. He hung up before I could transfer him. Also see my post for 701-555-4449.
Missed two calls today for this number, answered the third time. Gentleman (Alex?) with a think accent wanted to send me an email with more information about an ATS (Applicant Tracking System). Said he was representing https://www.icims.com He was very slow in his sales pitch, didn't get to the point and tried to take up too much time for an unwanted cold call. Asked for the website, he wanted more information and for me to take his email. I cut him off, thanked him and hung up. He called back and told me that he wished I got cancer and died, then hung up.
Caller says his name is Sam, heavy accent, asking for IT people . . . . calls several times a day. When I tell him the employee he asked for no longer works here, he simply calls back asking for the same employee. This number will be blocked.
