Called came in on a city government line. Caller was asking for employee who was no longer employed with us. Then asked for the current safety officer. Suspect cold call for services we don't need. Placed them on hold, they finally hung up after 2 minutes.
Another trick is to give them a telemarketing number from New Jersey. That cut all of the calls we received from FL looking for an employee no longer with the city!
Getting more and more calls that aren't identified by anything but a location, which sucks! There's a chance it might actually be a customer, but I tend not to risk picking it up since more often then none its telemarketing. Just got this one today, 701-557-9264, I didn't risk answering it, they didn't risk leaving a message. So good call in NOT picking up and coming straight here.
This was directly after a local service keeps trying to solicit office cleaning. They call a few times in a row and I punch them through to voicemail. This has been going on for about 2 years. Figured they'd quit by now.
This number calls mult. times per day. I sometimes cant answer so I call back and hear only music. I want to tell them to go [***] themselves but nobody ever answers.
Called and asked for me by name, and wanted to verify some information. The woman could barely speak English. Gave me my street address and wrong city. I hung up
