Got a call from this number ...they said they were from Microsoft and they had received error messages from my computer , and things were being downloaded on my computer without my knowledge ...they wanted me to go to my computer so they could access it and make corrections . I said I will call you back , but they said they would call me ..SCAM ... the name on the call was Troy Cundiff
Same as other posts. The odd part is Microsoft downloaded some stuff (upgrades) this morning which took about 45-minutes. How would these guys know what was downloaded?

Call from 701-675-2039. Strong Indian Accents. Spoke to more than one person. Claiming that numerous treats, etc. have been detected and claimed to be from Microsoft. I refused to do the Ctrl+Windows thing unless they gave me (what I thought to be) a legitimate answer. Guy literally handed over the phone to someone else. Than, that guy handed the phone to someone else, when I advised that A) there had been no treats, etc. detected B) I have virus protection and malware/spyware and 3) the treats you claimed to have gotten of when I used my computer in the last 2 days couldn't have been possible since I hadn't used my computer in more than 2 days. Line disconnected. THIS IS A SCAM TO OBTAIN YOU DATA (info) & DESTROY YOUR HARD DRIVE (upon further research)
