Sounds scammy.  I got a call and the person asked for me by my first name and said I know you are looking for a home loan, car loan or otherwise.  I asked him why he would think I was looking for any of that.  He didn't respond.  I asked how he got my name and number, he said from online.  I haven't applied for any loans or anything.  Not sure how he really got my info.  I told him that I would like for him to remove my information from their database and informed him that I am on the DNC list.  He hung up on me.  I called them back and spoke to a nice lady.  I explained that the man who called me hung up on me when I asked to be removed from the database.  I also said that I was polite and didn't deserve to be treated rudely.  She apologized and said she would remove my information.  Not so sure I believe that but we'll see.  I don't trust anyone who gets my information and calls me randomly, especially about financially things.
