People thinking that it's ridiculous for LVMPD to use such a number. When an officer makes a call while out in the field they aren't just gonna allow for their real number to be exposed. It is most definitely not a scam.
And here we have yet another person who claims to have know exactly who the number belongs to but looked it up anyway. So I'm guessing you woke up and were bored so you decided to look this number up at random?
The term you're looking for, BigA, is "Clueless". The typical patrol officer doesn't use his personal cell. 'phone for official duties. A Detective will & I know several who hand out their cards with their numbers on them by the hundreds. It's just a part of the job & they don't "spoof" an out-going number.
We need to stop advising some of these people to use tin foil in their hats. Lead foil may be harder to find but it's far more effective in keeping the "aliens" from getting in to these peoples heads...
