The ID masked this number with extra numbers added to the beginning and end along with the letter V at the beginning. N ot sure if it really came from 7 0 2 area code but most likely. The machine took the call and the caller hung up. Second junk call on my quiet Sunday afternoon. No day of peace anymore.

It most likely was not from the 702 area code. the V and number string is what the V-Dialer places in the name field of Caller ID if the operator has not programmed the name of the company calling you. It is the date, time and serial number of the call and has nothing to do with the actual number that called you. The actual number should have also been displayed in the usual location caller numbers get displayed on your phone.
The 702 means the call was placed on Jul 2 and 144750 means the call was placed at 2:47 and 50 secs PM at the caller's location. The remaining numbers were a 5 digit serial number showing what call this was in the current dialing sequence.
If there is a total of 14 characters (V + 13 digits), then
Digits 1-3 = date, in MDD format
Digits 4-9 = time, in 24-hr format, Eastern
Digits 10-13 = some kind of ID number
If there is a total of 15 characters (V + 14 digits), then
Digits 1-4 = date, in MMDD format
Digits 5-10 = time, in 24-hr format, Eastern
Digits 11-14 = some kind of ID number
In your case, the "702" probably meant July 07
