Just this week, a relative received a fraudulent letter from David Brickwell claiming that she had won $2.5 million (plus a Mercedes). However, to receive her prize, she needs to pay $550 (or "1% of Federal taxes") with a green dot card. The letter was sent by
[email protected] and the phone number to accept the prize was 1-702-981-6120 (which has been reported on your site as fraudulent). The address on the letter is 3358 Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV and appears to be a fictitious address. The letter tells her that she won "Two million five hundred thousand Dollars ($3.5M)" -- which just shows the careless of the author of the letter. I have always known that the numeric for two million five hundred is $2.5 million. The creator of this letter used a clip art Publisher's Clearing House logo and a clip art copy of a Bank of America check signed by Ms. Ward. Bank of America advises that the check is fake and Publisher's Clearinghouse fraud division reiterated that their company never asks for money when accepting a sweepstakes prize. The Publisher's Clearinghouse instructions are to hang up on the caller. Mr. Anderson from the delivery company is bringing her the money. They have also called using the 1-702-451-0696 phone number. My only hope is that this posting will help others who receive a similar form letter.
