If this number is indeed a number for Ameritech (I don't know because, like others have reported, there is no one on the line when I pick up the phone), they are a company that BJ's has allowed to take up space in their warehouses for the purpose of soliciting business.  I had indicated an interest in having them do work on a condo that I own independent of my husband.  When they found out I was married, they insisted that he needed to be present when they came out to talk with me about the job.  That did it for me.  I told them I was no longer interested in what they would have to say and not to call.  Now I get harassing phone calls from Ameritech that Caller ID reports are from Ameritech.
