Received a call from what I believed was the IRS. Told me they were filing a law suit and that I needed to pay my back taxes immediately. They pushed me to purchase prepaid debit cards to settle. The IRS mentions the following on their website: "The IRS will always send taxpayers a written notification of any tax due via the U.S. mail. The IRS never asks for credit card, debit card or prepaid card information over the telephone. For more information or to report a scam, go to www.irs.gov and type "scam" in the search box.
I called and spoke with someone who said they're from the IRS. I asked to speak with the supervisor. The rep didn't know what to do can played dumb. Eventually I spoke with a lady by the name of Jennifer Johnson. She called me a criminal and hung up. I tried calling her back but she blocked my call...such a scam
If someone with this number call just asked to speak with the supervisor and mess around with her...it's pretty funny (in a cruel way of course) ...btw...IRS do not call people, they send official notices. Stupid scammers...smh
