I've received more than 10 calls from this company, it's a scam and harassment, every time I get a call I let it go to voice mail and it's always the same message, saying they have legal documents they have to send me, and I block the number and somehow they end up calling me from a different number and so on... It's a never ending harassment.
I got a call from this # (On Trac Filing is where the guy said he was calling from) on my home phone & was given a file # & ph # of 1-800- 380-8296 to call in regards to a debt. The guy told me he'd put things on hold for 2 hrs for me to call the #. I have no outstanding debts, so I knew something was off. Looked up both #s & seeing it's a scam. Called my local BBB to report it.
I received a call today from this number. It said a complaint had been filed on me and they would attempt to deliver 2 times. It said me or my attorney could call a number. I figured it was a scam, so googled that number and found this site. Great info
Oh boy are these people insistent even after I told them I was looking up the number and knew they were a scam. She kept telling me over and over again she was just a locating service for the processor. I told her I have worked in the legal department and processors don't do these types of things. She told me they do. I said, again, I have a lot of knowledge of the legal system and they do not. No processor wants to give you a heads up that you will be served.
She continued to fight with me. I told her either she's stupid and working for a scam artist or she's a scam artist. That her phone number will be blocked. Interesting to note, they called both my lines at the same exact moment. The thing is they are getting better at the scam. This time they had one of our names. Last time they called they didn't have a name. So they are slowly improving their scam and that worries me that more people will fall for it. She claimed she did not have my address because she was only a locating service. She had no information on the papers. When I said have me served she then said that the papers were not drawn up yet and I could resolve the issue if only I'd call this other number she wanted to give me. Which I did not write down which could have been useful here as well. So her first statement that a process server had documents to serve me was now changed to I could resolve the issue before it was filed. Again, i told her that is NOT how the process works. Courts don't play such games. They are involved or they are not. Once they are involved it means papers are filed, period. And you cannot do a thing but show up to court and fight. You can't even just pay it off once it's filed. It simply doesn't work that way.
I told her to call her own house so she can get the real number she's calling from. Then to go home and google it so she understands she's working for a scam artist but I believe she's in on the scam. Told her that I'd never call another number and would be blcking that phone number. Then stated if someone wants to file papers on us, let them and to leave us alone. Then I hung up on her.
This company has been calling since last June. If someone were going to file a claim and try to have papers served on us, would have happened already. Plus, I know there is nothing against us. Our bills are paid early, I have never defaulted on any bill. I haven't had any issues with anyone. This is ridiculous!
On the plus side, on both of my phone lines (which are both business lines for both sides of our company, so I have to answer all calls) I have block boxes and have now blocked that phone number. Though they just keep using more and more phone numbers to call here.
I just received a call from this number today. Thank God I came to this site and saw all the comments. Fortunately for me, I didn't answer the call and it went to my voicemail. I was very confused by the fact that the person never identified herself or the company that she was calling from when she left message. Never once did she use my name either. These scammers should be ashamed of themselves.
