Spoofed number, pirated from a private individual, robo-called on a tie-line. This is becoming a popular tactic of the fraud callers, i.e., pirating private numbers. There was even one case where the fraudsters pirated the number for a very respected veterinary clinic, and drove everyone crazy, until legal action was threatened against Verizon to revoke the tie-line number. Verizon has an office in Washington VA that issues tie-line numbers for the scam callers, resulting in over 90% of the spam calls in Northern Virginia. Blocked.
