By the way, when I tried calling 703-778-5306 to complain, no one answered the phone. Their website lists their number as 703-778-5300. Perhaps that is a better number to call to complain.
I just received a call from this outfit this afternoon claiming that he was a contractor passing through the area. I interrupted his spiel and mentioned that I was on the Do Not Call List. He claimed that he had not way of knowing this. According to the FTC, legitimate telemarketers have access to the Do Not Call list number. Anyone who does not have access to these number is lower than a telemarketer, and probably the scum of the earth. What is worse, is that this person who called me also hat my name, and addressed me by my last name. At any rate, I reported the call in person over the phone to the FTC by calling directly 877-3824357. I also blocked his number to prevent repeat call. These folks who call like this as far as I am concerned are part of a much broader crime ring, especially if they call addressing the recipient by the recipient's first or last name. I do not know who these Gypsies are, but quite apparently, they pass around the same set of phone numbers. At any rate, for whatever good it does, the FTC now has a record of this last phone call within minutes of the Gypsy's making the call!
This jerk started with his sales pitch and I told him to F off and hung up on him. After seeing other comments about this caller, I'm even gladder I sent him the F bomb. These people are the scum of the earth.
This number left a message on my voice mail that sounded like they were trying to reach someone else about an appointment. I might have called back and told them they had called the wrong number, but it was long after the appointment was supposed to occur when I got the message. I don'the know if they are just getting sneakier in getting people to return their calls, and thus getting a legitimate reason to keep calling, or if they had truly called the wrong number.
