Got a call with this number from an individual identifying himself as David Richman from the IRS that said to call back to discuss my property ownership being in jeopardy as it was liable to fault by tax invasion issues. You could hear in the background that someone was reading a script that he was repeating.
my answer mach recorded a message from Robin Bench saying that he had a notice that I was being investigated for tax fraud/evasion. he told me to call 703-828-0814 asap to avoid being arrested by the IRS. just like above, he had a thick foreign (possibly Hindu) accent and, there was really bad background interference like wind across his mouthpiece. the number (call log) listed as the source is the IRS. The IRS, several other fed agencies, and major news services say there is a highly lucrative fake IRS scam going on that has raked in over 15 mill with this scheme. They all say "Hang UP!" If the IRS has issues with you they will notify you by mail first. You can google fake IRS phone scam and find several official websites to file a report. you will have to fill out a short, on-line form. don't bother calling the IRS. they aren't talking to anyone on the phone anymore. good luck!
Has to be a scam. Left a voicemail saying to call back because the IRS was going to prosecute me for tax evasion. Same thick accent. Telling me I am going to be arrested Monday morning for tax evasion. Saying they have documents proving they tried to contact me. Complete crap
