recieved a call from this number.... several times, not a collection company, as I don't owe anything but my home mortgage. Anyways, She claimed to be an outsourced company for Well Fargo and needed to sign me up for overdraft protection and wanted me to verify my account number, atm number and security code on the back of my atm, since I have never had a WF rep ask that info, I informed her I would call her back, when I called the number, It is an outsourcing company, so I called WF, the rep told me they don't EVER outsource their customer service or services offered, and that they would never call to verify the information on my card, as they already have it, they ask me to verify it when I call in to prove I am who I say I am, not vice versa... DON'T ever give your banking info to these people, the WF rep told me it is a scam....

This number has called twice, but left no message. I returned the call and it wasn't from any company that I was familiar with. This is getting very frustrating...
"I'm calling on behalf of Wells Fargo Bank, we're sorry to have missed you. We recently mailed you a service notice about a change we will be making that will impact how the current overdraft service works. Please read this letter and call us back at 1-877-275-1502 monday through friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. or saturday 10 to 4 Pacific time. Thank you."
Yep - i just got this call.
It MUST be because as of July 1st -- banks can no longer automatically opt you in to the Overdraft Protection plan - meaning they can't automatically charge you when you over charge.
But, if you use your debit card and the funds aren't there - then you can be denied at the register.
i'm ignoring it -- i don't respond well to such telemarketing ploys.
And like WF is making this change on their own...as they allude to in the message they left. THE FEDERAL GOV'T had to step in and make this change because people were getting charged 1,000's and 1,000's of dollars....
Called but did not leave a message. I called back the # and an automated message stated they were world wide customer service for Forture 500 companies and if I wanted my number removed by them to enter my number. Weird never once did they say the name of their company.
