A woman with a heavy accent left a message saying that the IRS has a claim against me. I should not ignore the call cause they might press more charges against me?
I just got a call from the same number telling me that I committed fraud on my taxes in 09. I couldn't half understand him because of a strong accent, so I asked for a case number and told him I'd deal with the local IRS. I haven't gone there yet but I'm going to. I'll post what happened later.
These people called my 72+ year old in-laws & left a message threatening to Seize their Property & Leavy on Bank Accounts. If they didn't cooperate & make Payment Restuition immediately that they call be turned over to officers of the court & face jail time!!!
Got a call from 1-703-874-1878 this morning, asked for me by name. could hardly understand the male caller other than know it said something about IRS, needed an attorney because I was going to jail for not reporting, could not understand what.....hung up on him. Called the number back using number block, rang one time, then went to busy signal, then called back, got busy signal, Called the number back 30 minutes later, the person answered as Internal Revenue something as I could understand what he was saying. Asked for his name.....gave a title (could not understand) and then said his name was Mark Anderson (I asked him to repeat) asked to speak to his supervisor, he said he was the supervisor and when I asked for his IRS employee ID number he hung up on me.
Got a call from same number. Foreign accent like Indian or Middle Eastern. Woman that left the message on voice mail also same accent. Its a scam. It came up as Arlington VA number.
