Woman with an accent called and left a message for my elderly mother. I had NO idea what she was saying so I called the number back. She tried to tell me that they were from the Consumer Protection Agency and we had some money coming to us from the Make a Wish Foundation. I told her off, told her she was nothing but a scam, and said I would be reporting them.
Returned missed call and got callback stating that I had won over $585,000 and I needed to pay $500 to get the money.
Consumer protection was agency noted.
