After stupidly letting these guys hack my computer, almost losing everything, I found they try to get you to pay for services to fix your computer. they call from what looks like legitimate HP and microsoft phone numbers saying your computer has a virus and if you let them log in remotely to check, they put bugs called hives in your registry which are a huge pain and cost to remove. I was able to shut my computer before he made my computer completely unaccessable by changing the password but not before he maliciously deleted files off my desktop, which were important work files. Then when you call HP they also try to make you pay for services to fix the mess. Save yourself the trouble and block if you can, HP never calls you, they don't know if your computer is having issues. It's a nasty scam. They take your credit card info to fix your computer and make off with money and your personal info. Nice.
I love messing with them. Don't get mad. Just waste their time! It's hilarious. Follow their instructions and when they ask what it says now tell them "it says f-off"
The caller ID said name unavailable. When I picked up the phone and didn't say anything and remained silent. I can hear some noise in the background and then "A recorded voice said, you have been kicked off the conference call"
