Got a call from this number today about 1:40 PM (8/15/2013). The recording that was playing when I answered was something about seniors falling or some such nonsense. I pressed 1 to speak with a representative. And when I got the young woman on the line, I told her that we keep getting calls either from her company or someone just like them, from various numbers all trying to sell the same crap. And I told her that we were really sick of these calls and to add us to their DO NOT CALL list. And she kept questioning me as to whether I really wanted to do that. And I asked her what her problem was, that I was speaking English, and she was speaking pretty decent English (although I could tell she wasn't a native English speaker, she was doing really well)....and I repeated 3x's that I wanted to be placed on some sort of do not call list for their company.
This crazy heifer then proceeds to tell me that if we are placed on the DO NOT CALL list then we will actually get MORE calls than we do now. And I told her that didn't even make any sense, I don't care what country you are from and what language you speak...that was just [***] backwards. And she proceeded to argue with me.
I told her that if the calls kept up that I would call my local police department and tell them what I know, and she could talk to them all day long about why she feels that putting me on the DO NOT CALL list would actually make things worse. And when she proceeded to argue with me, I hung up.
When I tried to call the number back to speak with a superior, there was that obnoxious dial tone that makes you think that you're getting fax machine but the recording says that the call can't be completed as dialed.....
