Caller said they were calling on my local Wal-Mart for Make-A-Wish foundation. Knew my address. Did not give out any personal info, but asked them to send me their information instead. Called local Wal-Mart store and they do not allow anyone to call customer asking for money. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO OR YOUR MONEY TO THIS PHONE NUMBER. A BIG FAT SCAM.
This call came under caller ID Walmart 704-218-6152. They stated they were Children's Cancer Dream Network. This is a total scam. When I called them back, I got the same woman.
Have received numerous calls from this number within the past few weeks. The caller ID always says WALMART. I have chosen not to pick up the phone until just now and they never leave a message. This time I decided to pick up. They knew my name, even though we are on the do not call registry list and our phone number is unlisted. They identified themselves as calling on behalf of a childrens wish foundation. I asked them why my caller id says walmart if thats the case and they said they had no idea. I told them to remove my name from their list and hung up.
Having typed in "kids foundation telemarketing caller id walmart" I found a whole list of complaints. I am renewing my do not call registry info. Not sure if there is a time limit for being on the list
Kept coming up on my home office line as Walmart. Woman said she was calling for Mr. (my initial and last name - they way my home office phone was listed). She said, it's a courtesy call and we'll call back. i explained there was no MISTER - she then started asking for a donation for children. So wrong to show it's Walmart and even say it's a courtesy call.
