If that's the approach you take, then you're going to have a very crowded contact list very quickly.
Telemarketing calls to cell phones are illegal outright. We're a small business that uses telemarketing (please put the pitchforks down), and I myself have dug through alot of the rules and regulations regarding who we can call.
Cellphones are a sin. Even if you're a business, any telemarketing call that costs the person called money is illegal. It's just as bad as getting a telemarketer calling you collect. DNC has no jurisdiction on cellphones, because it's just outright illegal to telemarket to them.
If I were you, I'd go to the FTC about this. However, if your cell phone is receiving forwarded calls from a landline, that could hurt your case.
Just got a call on my cell from this number. Google led me here. I'm going to add them to my contacts with the custom ringer of SILENT. Next time I won't hear a thing...
I have also received multiple junk calls from this and other numbers. Interestingly, I was previously with ATT VOIP home phone service and did not received a single junk call in the five years I was with them. Alas, ATT got out of the business a few months ago and I switched over to Vonage VOIP phone service. On the FIRST DAY with Vonage, the junk calls started and have continued. Vonage is obviously selling their customer lists and phone numbers, even though my number is unpublished!
I would never have signed up with Vonage if I had known what they were going to pull.
DO NOT ANSWER NOR CALL THIS NUMBER, if you do they become aware of a good number and you wind up on a good number list. Anyone who talks about the option '1' above works for the company.
