Scam artist trying to collect on imaginary debt over 10 years old - do not provide any personal or financial information. A telephonic demand to pay, without supporting paperwork, has no legal validity.
If the scammer calls again, inform him/her that the call is being taped as advised by the Police and you have filed formal complaint with the Sheriff’s office as well as State Attorney General’s office and the police is on their trail. Be strong.
These scammers are scared of the police and they will desist calling people who they know have seen through the scam!
