I haf the same calls n threats. He threaten to have the police come to my home and f*** me and give me a baby. He call my job and harrassed my co workers. He told one lafy at my job that "I'm going to take a 30 min break and I will come back and csll to lock all the lines up. Really!!! So when he called back and I spome with him. He tells me " your not *****, go F**** yurself. I called my attorney and was advised to fie a complaint with the FTC. Which I have done.
We have been receiving several phone calls a day for over a week. They say it is extremely urgent, litigation is being filed and they want to help us. If we don't call right back our SSN will be blocked, our credit rating destroyed, our job lost and our reputation ruined. We've told them we are not the person they are asking for; the keep calling. It seems to be from Charlotte, NC or Wingate, NC. They have foreign accents and I can hear several calls in the background, difficult to understand, making threats on other lines. I believe it may be a collection agency but can not find this name listed and in my searching I found others have received threats of a different nature. I spoke with the police twice and they said there are a lot of similar scams taking place now and not to give any information whatsoever.
If you are targeted by these criminals, be sure to report them to all the following federal and state law enforcement agencies (most of which you can do online or over the phone):
1. The U.S. Secret Service is responsible for protecting the country's financial infrastructure and payment systems from international and domestic threats. Call or write your local Secret Service field office to alert them to the details of this attempted extortion. The addresses and phone numbers for the local Secret Service field offices are listed at http://www.secretservice.gov/field_offices.shtml or in your phone book.
2. Alert the FBI at https://tips.fbi.gov Be sure to tell the FBI that you are being targeted by extortionists over the phone. And if the crooks claim to be law enforcement or lawyers, officers of the court or bankers, be sure to include that information in your report.
3. File a complaint with your local police. Most police departments will take a report over the phone. Be sure to tell them that you're being targeted by an extortionist and give them all the details.
4. File a complaint your state's attorney general, the contact information for whom is at www.wvago.gov
5. File a complaint online with The Federal Trade Commission at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en
If these crooks call back, promise them nothing, pay them nothing and tell them nothing other than that you know they're a scam and that you've reported them to law enforcement. (And be sure to report them to all the agencies above each time they call you.)
By the way, here's just a small sample of numbers used by this particular group of scammers. Read the reports and you'll see the same pattern time and again -- phony organization names, thick foreign accents, and oddly worded threats that are so melodramatic and ridiculous that it's laughable:

Idiot calls and wants to speak to someone named ***** - which isn't me, and then wants to know who I am. Changes phone numbers to (508) 644- 0193 also. Says they are with CIL which is a fraud company I guess. Report and then block the number.
received a call from michael williams, gentleman w indian accent (1st red flag) stating he is a police official (2nd red flag) trying to recoup payment for a company suing for a payday loan that was deposited into my bank account in 2009. irony is this account did not exist in 2009(3rd red flag). the company name they are going by is CIL. Law Firm of central investigation and litigation. when asked for their address and where they were located the man became very irate. when asked for the name and phone # of this so called company of the pay day loan (which i never had) the man began threatening cops will be showing up to my job to have me arrested and make sure i go buy some new clothes cause im going to need them in jail.(lol) they also would not give any info on how much this loan was for. when I searched for this company on line and nothing comes up. so i searched the phone # and found this sight. please be ware of these callers and report them to protect yourself from identity theft and being ripped off.
