These people have been calling me saying they are debt collectors! They said I had a $900 dollar emergency room bill and we're offering 50% off if I payed it in full that day. I knew of no such thing nor did I receive any notifications of this bill from the hospital. The scary thing is, is that they knew my birth date, and the last four of my social!! I hung up and labeled the number as SCAMMERS in my phone. I'm scared about identity theft! What should I do????
I received a call from this number so I tried to *67 and call it back. Every time it rang once and was automatically disconnected. I decided to straight call and a man with an Indian accent answered stating I had reached Tee Law Firm. There was an awful lot of background d noise to be a law firm, by the way. Anyway, I stated I'd received a call from them and he told me they were looking for "insert my name here" and I told him he had the wrong number. He didn't say another word, simply hung up. Weird.
Also, a Google seach showed no Charlotte, NC law firm with that name or phone number.
