Phone call at 10:05 Sunday morning. The one day I have to actually be lazy and sleep in late. NOPE!
This number calls and will not leave a message, just hangs up. These Telemarketers must be legit because they do NOT put their business names on the Caller ID. Red flag right there.
I have blocked these septic scammers before but they come in on another number. What a sorry way to make a buck. Engaging in this kind of a living must reflect upon the parents would could not raise their child in a civil way. Now I have to put up with their prodigy.
Truly spoken by someone who knows absolutely nothing about receiving calls under debt collection practices / tactics! No, I said I associate all the calls mentioned and received by Tom as also ones received by me that includes calls received from debt collectors associated affiliated with and under Department of Education and FHLMC. It's not truly they are selling marketing they are info gathering under skip tracing location tactics.
Septic tank cleaner scam. Recorded message. "Press one for more info, press 2 to be removed from our list." Yeah right !! DO NOT PRESS 2. As soon as you do, they know they have a working phone number and the calls will increase.
Am so tired of the recorded message scams - the calls seem never ending (and the numbers are always spoofed). If I ever get a live scam caller, then I channel all of my rage in their direction AFTER acting like a clueless idiot to waste their time. Usually pepper the conversation with silly tangents ("did you see that spider?" or "we have fuzzy alligators in our yard"). Cannot stand the scam callers, so I keep thinking of new ways to amuse myself with the calls (but since most are now recorded messages - less fun can be had).
Problem is that the dnc list only applies to businesses located in the United States. Most of these calls are from outside the U.S. And they use spoofing software to make it look like the call originated here. Half the numbers I try to call back are disconnected.
