Got a call from this number : 704-372-8742.....they stated with a auto-dialer that they were prepared to
put me in jail for a un-secured debt because I demand strict proof of payments applied to a Bill-ME Later Account. This is a debt collector. They also said they would take my car and my house if I did not pay the bill off with one check. Also they said they would also do the same to my wife and daughter if they did not pay the debt off if I could not do so. Well guess what, I have not got a wife or daughter, so dream on buddy. These people will stop at nothing to scare you into doing what they want, these people should be put behind bars for life with out parole.
#1, they cannot take you to jail for not being able to pay for a unsecured debt, nor can they take your house in Texas, or your car. You have the right to demand strict proof that payments have been properly applied to your account if you so wish for stricty proof. These people are the type that love to use scare tactics to bluff you into doing what they want because they think the public does not know any different. These people are [***] holes and ruthless rude people. When you call the number back it comes on with a recording that the number has been disconnected. Tye also said when a live person finally came on the phone that I had darn sure better be watching my back, that bad things happen to people that don't pay their bills. So if that is the case I hope they try something, becasue I am a retired former Police Office and I still remember how to file charges with the local Police Department for making a threat and harrassment. In Texas the law takes threats and this type of harrassment seriously. It is against the law.
I guess they are like the people in Washington D.C. who are trying to run this country, "THEY DON'T GET IT", and most likley never will.
