Recently I have been receiving calls from various numbers with a North Carolina, California, & 000-000-0000. To my surprise there was a woman on the other line with an very Thick Indian Accent giving me all of my personal information. This woman had my SS#, email address, & name and other personal information. She seemed to get very upset when I refused to confirm my personal information over the phone, so she informed me that she needed to connect me to her supervisor (whatever i played along). Her supervisor Mark Messey claimed I owed $690.00 and that I needed to send all Payments by Money Gram (company named IBM AKA Impact business Marketing Company Code 5950).
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS PEOPLE!!!!!!
These people are relentless, somehow they acquired the number of my employer. These people will call back to back non stop. I decided to do a little research because the calls were out of control. The sad thing about it, these IDIOTS represent themselves as Attorneys, or some sort of Law Enforcement agent. A couple of things that will stop those scammers from calling.
Here's what to do if a phantom debt collector calls:
1.Tell the caller you will not do anything until you get a written "validation notice" that spells out what you owe and to whom, and provides information about the collector. This notice is required by law. Anyone who says they can't send it is a fraudster.
2. Never send money to an unknown caller who demands payment of a loan-or provide any additional information about yourself-even if you owe the money. If you're not sure if you have an unpaid debt, talk to your original lender. Find out if there's a balance due and/or if they sent you to collection.
3. Don't let them scare you into doing something foolish. You cannot be arrested for being delinquent on paying back a loan. You can be sued, but the police are not coming to get you.
This totally helped me, when the scammers call me I let them talk and then I simply ask for documentation. Now, they will WIG OUT when you request this information. Don't let up trust me the calls will stop.

i got calls from them and was told i owe 790.00 and i paid them in weekly payment annd i asked my balance they said 300 so i paid 3 more weeks of 100.00 and now they are saying i owe more, im not sure if i should face off with them or contact and attorney any suggestions?????
