We have been receiving calls about a debt for another person with the same last name (not a member of our household).
We have told them this many times. Now I'm getting threating calls on my cell voicemail to call this 844 276-6779 with a case # given to settle or I would be pursued at work and home. I've alerted all my neighbors in case someone shows up asking about me.
I just got a call from this same number. Everything you all said is exactly what happened. I began questioning the representative-what company is this in regards to, which county clerk's office are you filing a "petition, what is your company's address, if you have my information what is the last address you have for me, if this is real you should be able to mail verification of "my debt." She got very angry, yelled at me, and hung up on me. A real debt collector would be able to repeat your personal information, mail out a letter, not yell at you to get a good lawyer, and give you their address. I feel so bad for anyone that is threatened by these people and end up paying them.
