My story is a little different my family was actually contacted out of state and the investegator told them they were looking for me because of insurance fraud case. I too call the number and heard a personal voicemail for a richard smith. it must be a scam.
Who do I report these people to??? They call me saying my cousins name who I do not even speak too, and say that she is going to be prosecuted for insurance fraud.
a message was left on my answering machine that they were investigating me for check fraud, when i ask them if I can fax a copy of my payment the lady by the name of Rebecca said that wouldn't help. so I insisted. to get the matter solve so she put her supervisor on the phone she said most likely the case will be close i try calling the next day I got a recording saying. this Richard smitth to leave a message. I called. again to get information the lady Rebecca became so defensive, I hang up the phone on them.
