Who called from 7044893316

I received an automated call from 704-489-3316 this morning. Stating that they were reaching out to me from an attorney's office (the automated system identified the name of some attorney) and stated that my name (the automated system identified my full name) and social security number (but it didn't state my social security number) saying that they are suing me and about to contact my employer to garnish my wages. They then told me to call a number (different from the number the automated system called me From) to contact them and speak about this but I didnt have a pin or paper so I didnt catch the recorded number in time. because I didnt catch the recorded number I attempted to call the number that I received the automated call from and a regarding picked up saying an extension number and saying leave a message and press pound for more options when I am done leaving a message. But before you can leave a message it says the mailbox is full same it disconnected the call.  Did anyone receive anything like this? Is it real? If someone was garnishing my waged shouldn't I get a legal letter in the mail notifying me of this? I haven't received any other notification of wage garnishment.

Sounds like the typical "PDL" collector scam. They normally state they are calling about a warrent or garishment. Search the name of the attorney. If he has the same phone also check the BBB. If nothing comes up then a very good chance it is a scam. Robo collection calls that state your SSN etc are another hint of it being a scam. Leaving this on a A/M or V/M is a violation of the FDCPA.

You are correct you would receive something via certified mail from the courts or a true server would serve you.

Search the internet a bit more. Also if you have the name of the attorney that would help others.
