The same thing happen to me with the lady named Marcy Stone, she was calling from 7044949905 she said she was with the ' Department of Investigations and said charges were going to be filed against me because i owed some rental company. I think that is so unfair for a compnay to sell you information to some one else.
I got a phone call from this number tonight. The woman said her name was Marcy Stone and she was calling from the attorney generals office of investigation. She told me back in 2008 I wrote a check to National group LLc (aka BMG) and that she was in the process of filling a lawsuit against me. I told her I had no idea what she was talking about (so many fake emails and calls I googled regarding BMG) Anyway, she told me back in May of 2008 I wrote a check for National Group LLc and now she was threatening me with
(1) VIOLATION OF FEDERAL BANKING REGULATION
(2) COLLATERAL CHECK FRAUD
(3) THEFT BY DECEPTION
I asked her what proof she had and she just mumbled. I told her I was going to contact my attorney and I was going to contact my bank and prove her accusations were false. She just continued to say that she was in the process of filing a lawsuit and all the above. I asked her why she was calling me from NORth carolina if I don't even live there. Again she just said she was filing charges against me. I called her back a bit later and said I want your address so my attorney can send u a letter. She said No She can call. I said no I want your address. So she says that is private we don't give it out.So then she fumbles a bit and comes up with some po box address in Fayettville Georgia. So I asked why are you collecting mail in georgia when u are in North Carolina? Got no answer. So I said well what is the name of the company that we can send the letter to I mean what good is an address if you have no company? Well needless to say she hung up on me...unbelievable!!! I wanted to post this so in case anyone else gets a phone call they will know it is a scam. No attorney general is going to call you and threaten u over the phone.

They are total frauds. I spoke with three of them. They're not happy with me. They have no idea who or what they spoke to..but to me that's always part of the fun. They have one of our MJ numbers and I'm sure one of us will hear back from them. At least I hope so. Take care and God be with you.

Same thing. Called and threatened legal activity from Carolina. I live in Omaha Nebraska. I never called them back. I went through this a while back. It is a debt collector and they threaten that they are filing charges in my county, but none ever come about.
Same as above. She left a message at my work # and home. That stupid monotone voice that they all use. "Calling from the Dept of Investigations, regarding charges being files against you in (my county). This matter is regarding "Bank Fraud" (??!).
DIdnt talk to her wont talk to her....God what a pitiful life to be a bottom feeder....
