Got a call from this number and the lady's name is Lisa Franks. She told me that I was going to be sued. For a payday lpan that I had taking out in 2008. And she gave me a docket # that she say would be filed against me if I didn't settle this in 72 hours. Now I paid one only cause they told me that this is attached to my ss# as well as my DL#. Can't afford any problems I work for the state. So what do I need to do to stop this. ?
This company called me leaving the following message "My name is Frank wells, I have been appointed to mediate in a civil complaint I have in my office against you. This formal complaint indicates fraudulent activity on your behalf with your signature DL and SS#. If you would like to contest these charges or would like more information in regards to them, contact me at 704-626-2152 so you can provide a final response in your defense regarding this claim. ...You have been served."
I called the number back and they were trying to tell me it was from a payday advance loan in 2008! Frank was not available for me to speak to, but the gal I did speak with refused to provide me with her name or the company name. She told me this was already filed in the court in one breathe and in the next she told me they would like to settle this matter without having to file a formal complaint with the court. Which is it lady?
I have searched the court case files and there is NO civil nor criminal law suit against me. Besides the fact that in the state of California (where the loan was taken out) the Statute of Limitations is 4 years. This call was in reference to a loan over 5 years ago.
I asked the lady I spoke with for the company name and told her I would have to contact my lawyer and she told me they were going to mark it as a refusal and I would be served in my place of business and could take that to my lawyer. She refused to reveal the company name and hung up on me.

I received a call from this number asking for my son who doesn't live with me. I thought it funny because of the name he called my son. His legal name is in Spanish and all legal documents reflect that, but this guy translated it to English(?). Anyway he said he was from PDL mediation and litigation and used the name Kevin Young. I took a message and he gave me his direct extension number, 105. I asked was PDL stood for and he just said Paul, David, Larry.
Not feeling comfortable with this as the caller ID on my phone only came up as 1 -. So I looked in up on the internet and found this. I won't be passing this message along, but will report it to the FTC.
Got a call from this number, the man asked for someone else saying it was for a debt and lawsuits have been filed etc. etc. etc., has been calling for days. I told him I was recording the call as I was recording it. He yelled at me saying not to threaten him, told him it wasn't a threat but a fact and hung up. Really sick of these calls. Says he is a debt collector but most likely a scam.
Received a call from this similar to another call I received before. A man asked for my husband by name. I asked to take a message. He gave me some story of someone filing a civil suit against my husband my husband needed to call him back so he can help him take care of the problem. Never called the number back.
Same thing happen to me the call was from north carlina and he was like May I talk to Lekeith and I said u got the wrong number and he was like you gonna get sued and before I could ask who this was he hung up the phone and said u gonna get sued smh got me scared as hell I never been in trouble my whole life and I'm black 21 yrs of my life and I know there are lying his name was frank thank god for the iPhone block button it comes in handy
