This is a cell phone caller, supposedly calling for the American Kidney foundation looking for donations.  Funny never see their truck in the neighborhood....

Were you expecting a truck to harvest kidneys on donors front lawns? I've never seen any charity vehicle in my neighborhood,  but I know they exist.

I live about about three miles from a blood center, and their colorful trucks "pass by" my neighborhood when they are driving on the 4-lane boulevard that abuts my neighborhood, and I can see them from my house. They aren't making stops for anyone, just traveling back and forth from their medical offices to hospitals.

Some people might extrapolate from seeing that truck drive around that the blood center might call them for a donation. I am trying to remember if I have ever gotten calls for financial donations. Decades ago when I was in college one of my girlfriends worked at a blood center and coaxed me into coming in to donate blood. But that was in person, her center did not call me.

They don't come until they have a pickup , they schedule pickups ,so if there is no pickups in your area you will not see a truck !
