Blocked numbers started calling me today along with several family members telling them that I had to call this number 704-745-0298 and that a court case was pending and I would be served papers and detained if I did not get back with them within 24 hours. I called them and got a answering machine that said...you have reached the claims dept...our hours are 9-5 Monday thru Friday please enter your extension. So I did and I get this woman on the phone and give her my name and she says wait while I pull your pending Court case file. I let her get it and she ask me to verify my social, I told her I do not give that info over the phone and who is the company she is with and that I have not received anything in writing from anyone about anything. She would not tell me who her company was even after I asked again. She said you have a debt with Capital One and you have maliciously violated them with fraudulent intent on a financial institution. I started laughing and I said the information you have is so old, I haven't done business with them in years. She got furious. I told her again I needed the information of her company and who she was with etc and she started yelling at me that she would not continue this call that I was not going to talk over her and control the conversation that she was filing my court case immediately and hung up on me. I immediately called the Sherriff's Dept in my town and told them what happened and gave them their number and they said it is a huge scam. Please don't fall for this!! SCAM!!
