They have called my work place harassing me to no end. I called them back and spoke with Anthony Marcello, he said they will keep calling me. I called back again and left a message "I want to speak to someone without an accent AND they need to call me with their mailing address so my atty can be in contact with them for harassing me". Haven't heard back from them yet. Don't give in to them!
This is a scam - pure and simple. The call feels legit because they (frighteningly) have a lot of your personal information and they are ruthless. This guy says he's with Orchard Bank but I'm sure he uses all kinds of "I've heard of them" companies. I can totally see how someone would pay these people off. They told me that by 4:30 today I would have a warrant out of me for some laundry-list of charges - it was scary! However, I was smart enough to contact the local sheriff's office and verify that 1) there were no warrants against me and 2) money collections is a civil court matter and the police really don't get involved in that. After armed with that info., I called the guy back and told him that I thought he was trying to scam me and he says, "You're right. This is fraudulant. I'm trying to scam you." and hung up the phone. How insane is that!!! He's cocky because he knows there's not much we, as the consumers, can do. However, I'm doing all I can - reporting fraud to all three credit-reporting agencies, notifiying Orchard Bank that someone is impersonating their company, filing a police report and telling any and everyone that I can that THIS IS A SCAM! I received calls on my phone, at work, and to my references from "Ayana Murphy", supervisor with the DFF stating a payday loan from "CashNet USA" was sent there. 704-802-9672
I just received a phone call from this company saying that someone is filing a fraud charge or something with my husbands social security number! She said she was from the ddf investigation and her name is ayana murphy! These ppl are never ending and need to get a life. I told her i would file a police report and told her to stop calling and she replied. "I will keep calling." Its so scary that they have that much information! Don't let these ppl scare you!
Received a call from this # today. They are harassing an individual who is mentally ill. They claimed they were with "The Department of Social Security" - There is no such thing. I am going to be calling Social Security Administration and let them know what these people are doing. It is illegal to represent yourself as being from a government agency, when you are not. I'm going to start hassling these people only because it will be fun!
I received a phone call from "Anaya Murphy" as well saying that my husbands soc sec number was involved in fraudulent activity and that my name and number was also being investigated. I was told that I needed to have him call her back as soon as possible to go over the legal fees that needed to be paid to the court. My mother in law also got a phone call from the same number saying that she was being investigated for fraud also. These people would not tell me the company they worked for when i asked repeatedly for that information. They also called my husband and threated to have the police come to our home and they were going to contact his employer. I believe this is a complete scam!!!!!
