My call from them was a recording that said "Automatic Verification from Verafast" and then repeated the 704 phone number. I am on the national Do Not Call registry, so I suppose it was related to a recent newspaper subscription I started. I went to the Verafast website and found the Contact Us page. They said that they wanted me to call a long distance nubmer (NOT toll-free) to be removed from their contact list. I filled out the contact form, telling them that I was on the national list and would treat any further calls from them as violations of federal privacy laws. I don't know if that will achieve my goal or not.
Recieved an unusual call at around 9:00 PM Sept 21. It was not from 704-817-0524, but from a similar number: 704-817-0531 with a caller ID that read NCCOP. After searching the Internet I found this web site and that's why I am reporting. Is that the same as 0524 ? I don't know.
