I recently went online and was looking to further my education. Once they finally called me I had some financial issues arise and asked them to please not call me any more, and that I was no longer interested. The lady that I spoke with said that she would remove my name. Then the next day I got another call from the same company. I told them the same thing and they told me they would not call again. Well they keep calling and I'm really getting sick and tired of the calls on my cell phone. The next time they call (I feel sort of bad for the caller, cause they are probably only doing there job) because I am going to freak the .... out on them for continuing to call me after I have nicely asked them to remove my number. Oh and they call at crazy hours like at 11pm at night. I will NEVER go online for information again. I will go to a school directly for college and education information. Biggest mistake ever!!
Same thing happened to me and I have a big feeling it's a scam. They want me to visit an online site that requires me to enter my SSN so they can verify my credit to ensure I am who I say I am. I don't think so, especially since employers cannot use this information for/against you (unless it's airlines, banks, etc...none of which I was applying at). SCAM.
