Had a missed call from this number. Out of curiosity called it back, got an extremely, extremely generic voicemail. No company name given, but did give their "office hours..." believe it to be a scam.
they CLAIM it's US Dept of Education but trust me they are based in DC not in the charlotte NC area AND that number would be a toll free number OR area coded 202
I hate when these numbers call and wonder how they get my number. They try to use the same area code I have I guess in an attempt to get an answer. Lucky for me I'm not dumb. My daughter answered and gave me the phone. They said something about needing my info and paying back a student loan and they can get the price owed lowered. I said "That's great but I don't have any student loans so your scam has failed"
CALL TYPE IS SCAM..BEWARE
