so i see these guys are doing it again every year or so this number or 18773076286is the number called from and they left the number 7048792620to return a phone call to them they apparently told my dad that i had some warrants and court dates to deal with etc ive been thru this [***] before with these numbers saying that if u make an agreement with them and give them your account info they wont persue legal charges well if i was in trouble with the law there not going to call me first of all yay there is a no brainer dont listen to this persons [***] i called them back after them telling my parents a bunch of crap i called them back and royally bitched them out saying if the ever [***] call any one in my family again i will file a lawsuit against them for harrasment and calling a cell phone without permission which is against the federal law better known as the federal do not call list so if u get a call from them tell them too [***] off it is an illegal atempt to either collect a debt which isnt there or they simply wnt your account numbers etc so plzz dont give out any personal info at all
I just received the same lame call from these people claiming the same thing. I've been in the collection industry for 15 years and I know what they are doing is against the law. I just keep record and let them keep trying to call. Dont give these people anything. If you do talk to them you tell since they seem to have all this documentation for a claim they need to send it to you and your attorney. I bet you anything they will not be able to give you anything.
Also just got a voicemail saying that they are looking for information on a person and that my number was given as a contact that might know the whereabouts of this other person. My hypothesis is that whoever they are trying to contact probably gave them a wrong phone number or the person with this number misdialed or the caller of this phone number is trying to get a hold of anyone that will answer and listen to the caller.
Bottomline: The message left gave the caller's name, Special Agent, Dept of Fraud, Clark County Courts and this phone number. Parts of the voice message were not spoken clearly and there were bits of hestitating. I research strange numbers that I receive on my phone before calling back because of all the scams and identity thefts nowadays. When I looked up Clark County - there are several Clark County courts listed such as courts in Las Vegas, NV and Vancouver, WA. Another bit of info is the area code of this number is listed as originating from North Carolina.
I just got this message on my answering machine, they were trying to reach someone that I "know". I don't know this person and thought this was a strange call and did not return the phone call. I always search strange messages left on my machine.
Just listened to a voicemail from 704-879-2620....looking for someone I supposedly know and wanted me to relay message to this person to contact them regarding an upcoming court date in Guilford County....Did not return call !!!!!
