Just got the same text message regarding a marketing position I applied for, I called the 888 number and they verified that I was a U.S. Citizen, over the age of 18, asked what my highest level of education was and at what times would I be available for a callback. They also said that they would send me an email with a link to complete the rest of the application. I'm totally sketched.
I got the same thing. I also applied for a job from Craigslist in Richmond. I actually emailed a company with my resume and asked for more information on the job. They never emailed me back. Shady.
My name is Donnie and I am the Web/Marketing Coordinator for The Employee Network. I think you might have us confused or it's quite possible there may be another company out there calling themselves The Employee Network and working as some type of hiring agency or scam as you all have described.
I just want to clarify that we are not a hiring/employment agency. We are the official Employee Discount Program of more than 100 of the largest Government Agencies, Corporations and Hospitals in Arizona, Nevada and the Nation. We advertise discount offers from local and national vendors to our employee members and have been in business since 1998. I just don't want our company to be confused with any that may be illegitimate or scams because we most certainly are not.
I'm not so sure about this Employee Network because even on your so called website it asks for your basic information then tells you to call a 1800 number.
Why in the world would anyone need to call a 1800 number or a job to verify anything? That makes no sense what so ever.
I am reporting this company immediately. This has scam written all over it.
