If they are calling you, then they are PAID solicitors, and only about 5% goes to the 501C# they are using to ask for funds. 95% GOES FOR THE OVERHEAD WHICH IS RIGHT INTO THEIR pockets. It's the same with the FOP, Sheriff's association, etc. Tell them to put you on their do not call list and to mail you their "do NOT call written policy" They are except by calling for a charity. They can be exempt to if they are setting appointments for a person to come by to see you.Once asked to stop calling they can get fines, and fines if they don't sent their written policy.
They said they were Military something of the Purple Heart. They were collecting for people were got hurt in the service. And I did not give money. Sounded kinda fishy.
