Just got yet another call from these dopes! Called me Sunday morning at 7 am and they call everyday about this same time (3:30 CT) and I have told them over and over NOT to call me. As stated, the accent is so thick you have no clue what they are saying. I don't even answer anymore because I am as sure as thunder follows lightning they will call back tomorrow!
I got a call yesterday & 4 time today from the 706-229-8665, the man "John" with a foreign accent said he was from tech company & that my computer has been generating some error and has stopped responding to any windows updates and I said I will call microsoft directly and hung up. THESE PEOPLE ARE DEFINTLY SCAM ARTIST, MICROSOFT WOULD NEVER CONTACT ANYONE BY PHONE UNLESS THE CONSUMER CONTACTS MICROSOFT THEMSELVES looks like these guys are scammers..
Phone number shows up as out of area. They give you their "name" and say they are with Microsoft "tech support". Now just "tech support". I only let them get as far a 'this is about your computer" and tell them I don't discuss my computer on the phone with anyone and hang up. Don't feel bad about doing this at all. The first time they called this spring, I went along with them until he handed it over to another person to deal with me as I didn't know how to do what they were asking me to do and then I had both of them using fowl language at each other in the background. That's when I realized they were not from Microsoft and hung up.
My oldest daughter knows more about computers than they do and is self-taught.. She stumped them when she asked them to tell her what her IP address was. And how could you know I have something "wrong" with my computer when I don't allow Microsoft access to my computer?
They are getting very annoying because they call several times a week for the last six months. You would think they would realize they are calling the same number and getting the same reaction, that is hung up on. Oh well I will just keep hanging up on them.
I got a call from this number this evening and the guy wanted to sell me an extended warranty for my car. First of all, the guy's accent made him VERY hard to understand. Secondly, there was so much background noise(chatter, indescribable office-like noises, bodies being dismembered) that is was nearly impossible to hear the guy. What makes these morons think that they can sell anything when it sounds so unprofessional? I'm not sure they could sell water in the desert using their tactics. Christ, I'm so SICK of these calls. And, yes, I'm on the "do not call" list. Lot of good it did signing up for that. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
