I got one too. Recorded message offers free home security system and free installation. No mention of monitoring fees. Curiously they clearly state the system would be "monitored by local police", which is of course untrue. So if their offer does not include their own fee-based monitoring service, then the whole thing must be totally free!! More likely they just want to (a) get into your home, or (b) get your credit card info. Probable identity thieves. Where is the FCC when we need them?
I missed a call from this number. I'm thankful for this site! Wow, it is definitely a scam caller if they are calling to install security in the United States, and I live in South Korea. Glad I didn't answer, but interesting to read others' experiences.
I work for a business and we get about 25 calls from them everyday. It says to press 2 if you want to be removed off the call list but I think it just makes them call more. I hit 1 so i can speak with them and ask them to take us off the call list but when i tell them "this is not a residence"
they hang up. The fact that the the same person picked up on 3 different calls means its just a couple people doing this business. Its a scam. I'm trying to get the number blocked.
I missed a call from this number - 706 (Georgia area code) 510-2341- just now. I googled it because I did not recognize it and I found this site. Thank you, everyone for posting...If they call back I'll make sure they understand I'm not interested. I've posted here because I want everyone to understand it is a scam.
