Received a call from this number - an automated message threatening that I needed to call back by the end of the day - there is no company in Rome,GA with this name - THIS IS A SCAM - BLOCK THE NUMBER - DO NOT TALK TO THEM THEY ARE FRAUD -
They called and left an automated message about some debt and if I didn't call by the end of the day then it would be whatever legal thing would happen. I called them back and they said they were Madison & Associates. I asked what it was about and he said he had to pull up the file. I told him okay and that I thought they were a fake. He put me on hold and then hung up on me. It is a scam.
I received a call from this number today (706) 528-7232; It was an automated call stating they were from Madison and Associates Law Firm and this is a final attempt to collect a debt. Press 1 to speak to a representative to clear this up or Press 2 to be placed on their DO NOT CALL List. (LoL) - The message stated I had to call them back by the end of the day. I did not call them back, nor will I. SCAMMERS - DON'T ANSWER YOUR PHONE AND DON'T CALL THEM BACK. (Imagine the poor people who fall for this ... ) (Be advised, any legitimate Company or Collection Company will send you notices in the mail, if it truly is a debt you owe. Never agree to anything over the phone with slime like this. Always ask for it in writing and do not give out any personal information, not even your address. After all, if they truly are a Collection Agency, they should already have your address. DON'T ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE TRICKED) (I'm listing them as a Debt Collector because they do not have an option for Scammer).
They called and said they were Madison & Associates and said I owed money. They were threatening to take me to court. I told them that the info they had was not completely right. They kept insisting that I settle. They were rude
ok folks I receive the same phone call just to let you know I work at a law firm. Therefore I am familiar with the legal process and their obligations. No matter what these people tell you they will try to give you an affidavit number which makes no sense because an affidavit is a legal notarized statement. What they should have said was citation number. They will ask if you received your summons.do not give them any information whatsoever. If you show these people that you're not an idiot and you can't be scammed they will hang up on you immediately after asking this particular question and they will not contact you again. they will tell you they are ready to go to trial and blah blah blah. I lost you have the legal right to find out the State Bar number for the attorney representing people litigating against you, so just to this number because it will throw them off their game they will get frustrated and they will hang up with you and I will leave you alone.
