Just had a call from 706-555-0155. Guy with SE Asian accent (India?) told me that Windows was receiving error messages from my computer. I told him I'd have my Tech check it out. He told me he he could tell me what to do, but I said I'd just turn off my computer. He started to try again to convince me to ask him for help but I hung up.
Received call from 706-555-0155, caller ID shows "DIR ASST GA" - male with foreign accent said his company received error reports from my Windows computer, and was contacting me to correct the problem. When I asked "HOW did you get my telephone number?" he stuttered a bit, and said whenever error reports were automatically sent to Microsoft, my phone number was included. As a former computer tech/programmer, I knew this was not true.
Caller ID shows Dir Assist GA. Didn't get to phone in time and have a 1:18 minute voice of someone breathing into the phone. No words or text. Must have taken the caller that long to figure out nobody was there.
